Frequently Asked Questions
Which requirements and prior knowledge do I need for participating in a training course?
Depending on which course you attend will depend on the prior knowledge – please refer to the various outlines to confirm pre-requisites. If unsure then please give us a call to talk through.
Do you offer public courses?
For some of our courses we do have public courses run, best to call us or email us on info@eliteskillz.co.uk to find out more details.
Do you deliver training nationally and internationally?
Yes, absolutely, our courses can be delivered all over the world.
Do you offer private, bespoke company courses?
Yes, we appreciate that not one course fits all. We are more than happy to create a bespoke course that works for your colleagues at our location or at a location that works for you. We work with you to understand your objectives and build the course using your sample data and scenarios.
What do I have to bring for the training?
Nothing, just yourselves. We can provide the laptops or if you prefer to work on your own that is no problem – just let us know and we can accommodate. We can provide pens/paper/drinks.
What is the maximum number of participants for the training courses?
Depending on the type of course we would suggest the following:-
- IT – a maximum of 8 delegates. Ideal number is 6 but happy to work on a 1-2-1 basis if required.
- Soft Skills – our preference would be a maximum of 14, but this can be discussed
Are food and drinks provided during the training?
For all training on our premises we provide hot and cold drinks and a buffet lunch. If we are training on your premises, then this will potentially be provided by your company.
What training material is included with the training courses?
- For the majority of our IT Training courses we provide a PDF copy of our manuals that have been written by Sarah Elliott. Alternatively, if these aren’t available then we can recommend good reference books from Amazon.
- For our Soft Skills course we provide an actual handout.
Should I bring my laptop to training?
If you want to bring your laptop that is fine, alternatively we can provide – just keep us posted.
Do I get a certificate for completing a course?
Yes, certificates can be provided after the training – please request.
Do I need to ‘pass’ to get a certificate?
Generally, the fact that you have attended a full day course with us means you have “passed”.
How long are the training courses?
Generally, our courses are 1 day in duration, but we accept that this does not necessarily work for everyone. Talk to us about our half day or bite size or floor walking sessions.
